Explorers

Newcastle Explorers

Unlike Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, Explorers is not a section of the 17th Newcastle Scout Group. It is a district provision, run across the city, for young people aged 14 to 18.

Explorers lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of their Unit, with support and guidance from leaders. The section also includes the Young Leaders' Scheme, where young people take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections.
